A message is from our safety and prevention specialist. Please contact her directly with any questions. email@example.com Parents, Today we had the privilege of having Officer John Mika (Boise Police/SRO at Fairmont Jr. High) come and speak to the students about safety procedures. We had 2 separate discussions. 5-8th grades and 1-4th grades. Officer Mika spoke to the students about safety in the schools, at home, and in the general public. With the older students, he went into more detail about crimes and consequences of those crimes. He also spoke to them about drug and alcohol use, touched lightly on suicide prevention and briefly spoke about cell phone etiquette in regards to the "Do's and Don'ts" of posting or sending photos on social media The younger grades talked about the dangers of talking to strangers, bullying, and other general safety tips. Students were given the opportunity to ask questions at the end of the presentation. If you have any further questions or concern, please feel free to contact me. -Ruth Affleck

It's time for the annual Scholastic Book Fair! Through the years we have raised thousands of dollars for TVCS libraries and we want to do it again this year! (We receive 50% of our sales or more!) Research shows kids are more likely to read when they select their own books and here is their chance to pick from hundreds of titles. Please join us for this "Dino-mite" Book Fair!

WE HAVE POWER! THANK YOU IDAHO POWER FOR GETTING US BACK UP AND RUNNING SO QUICKLY.
We have lost power due to a large power outage in the Maple Grove and Ustick area. Idaho Power is estimating power restored by 1:30PM. School schedules will remain as normal. If you feel the need to come pick up your child, you are welcome to do so. Also, the power outage affects our phone system therefore if you have an emergency, please call, Jennifer's cell at 208-713-2533. Thank you, TVCS Administration
Dear Parents and Guardians, Recently the State of Idaho received notification of a state wide bomb threat targeted at schools and airports. The threat was not specific to any schools or locations. We deemed that the threat was not credible to our school, but always find it best to err on the side of caution. Our first step was for school administration to complete a perimeter check, which was done upon our becoming aware of the stated threat, and all school areas were found to be secure. Next we have notified all staff to practice additional vigilance in and around the campus and to notify administration immediately if there are any questionable factors observed during the current day and going forward this week. That said, presently we can state all classrooms and the general campus are safe. As always the safety of students and staff are on the forefront of our minds and we appreciate your support. If you still have any questions, please contact our school administration directly. Thank you, Tony Richard Principal
Happy Thanksgiving! Today we are thankful for our teachers and administration who work tirelessly to make sure every child receives the best education possible. We are thankful for our paraprofessionals who are always willing to lend a hand wherever needed. We are thankful for our office staff who keep our school up and running behind the scenes. Most of all though we are thankful for the families that entrust their children to us day in and day out, without each of you of Village wouldn’t be possible.
