Enrollment for the 2019-2020 School Year: The Village Charter School is a public charter school, Per Idaho's Charter School Law - Idaho Code 33-5206 - enrollment at The Village Charter School is offered through an annual enrollment lottery.

How to apply for the 2019-2020 lottery: On Monday, January 7th, The Village Charter School will begin accepting online applications for the 2019-2020 school year for students entering Kindergarten* through 8th grade. The Village Charter School will continue accepting applications until 11:55 PM on Thursday April 11th 2019.

* Federal law requires that students are 5 years old by September 1st, 2019 in order to attend Kindergarten (please refer to Idaho Code Statute 33-201) for the 2019-20 school year.

Lottery Process: The Idaho Legislature established the lottery process for charter school admission through Idaho Code Statute 33-5206. As a brief overview, all applicants are placed into grade-level-specific 'Lottery Priority Groups' as follows and are drawn in order based on these groupings:

First Priority: Applicants that are children of founders and full-time employees of The Village Charter School.

Second Priority: Applicants that are siblings of students already attending The Village Charter School.

Third Priority: Applicants that reside within The Village Charter School’s primary area of attendance. This map can be found on our website.

Fourth Priority: Applicants that reside outside The Village Charter School’s primary area of attendance.

Offers for Enrollment: Our lottery will be held on Friday, April 12th starting at 1:00pm. Families receiving placement at The Village Charter School for the coming school year will be notified within 24hours via email. All others will be posted to the waiting list available on our website by 5pm on the following business day.
