Andrea grew up in the Treasure Valley and studied elementary education and social work at BSU briefly, before moving to Southeast Asia for 3 years with her husband, to work in a cross-cultural, faith-based non-profit organization. Currently, she works at St Luke’s as a newborn hearing screener. She loves interacting with families as they celebrate their new additions and also encountering the cultural diversity that comes through the hospital. She home-educated her own kids for several years with the support of a home-education focused charter school in Boise and this was her family’s first experience with the charter school system in Idaho. She shares the charter school community’s value of education choice suited to the needs and core values of each family. Her two children spent 6 years at TVCS, graduating as 8th graders. Andrea values the philosophy and community of TVCS, believes there is leadership in every child and continues to be excited about the future of our school. She has served on the TVCS board for several terms and is grateful for the high-quality individuals she has been privileged to work with.
